Price: 4950

This good quality double bass is viol shaped shaped and flat backed. The front is made of medium grained spruce and the back and ribs are maple wood. The neck and scroll are made of beech wood. The varnish is a lovely deep red/ brown spirit varnish. This bass was extensively restored in 2010 by renowned luthier Mike Hart (signed letter for proof) which included three new back bars, ebony finger board, tail piece, bridge, strings and end pin assembly. The condition is very good with good projection and sustain. No buzzes or rattles. Kept in a controlled environment. Valued by Mike Hart at £6000.
