STENTOR MESSINA ORCHESTRAL CELLO. APPROX. 12 YEARS OLD
This is the finest cello available from Stentor, hand carved from top quality tonewoods and set up in their English workshop. This cello has been mine for a few years now and was the subject of a comprehensive set up and improvement by luthier Colin Adamson of Berwick around 18 months ago. This involved re-facing the fingerboard, making and fitting a new soundpost and fitting a new ebony tailpiece with Wittner tuners. The cello was transformed and sounds outstanding. I have just fitted a new set of Spirocore strings, reset the soundpost and it plays beautifully. I am selling it with a lovely East German, pernambuco, octagonal bow freshly rehaired by Edinburgh bowmaker Allesandro Paradiso. This bow cost in excess of £300 around 2 years ago. Also included is a slightly shabby, but perfectly functional Hiscox light case. This is a genuine bargain and a great outfit. I can supply a full set of detailed photographs by e mail to interested buyers.
Certification: STENTOR MESSINA SERIAL NUMBER M125412.
