Thomas Earle Hesketh, 1907

Price: £6000
I am Manchester (UK) based.
This violin was purchased from Harold Ash of Manchester circa 1980, I have played it professionally in the BBC Philharmonic 1st violin section for nearly 30 years as well as in solo and chamber concerts.
Has been a pleasure to own.
Lovely deep, sultry tone.
It is not a small instrument so would possibly not be suitable for all.
Local to Manchester trials can be arranged fairly easily, further afield may be a bit more difficult but not impossible.
There must be very few Heskeths out there from this period and with this quality of sound.
There are some old repairs and alterations and certain players may want a slightly different set up but it has been fine as is for me.
I am not desperate to sell as it is a very useful and pleasant alternative to my other violins so am willing to wait for a sensible offer.
Apologies to those who I have not been quick to respond to, I will endeavour to be more aware of any serious interest out there.
