The Royal Academy of Music is one of the world’s leading conservatoires. It prides itself on being stimulating, forward looking and a friendly environment with a diverse mix of students and staff from over 50 countries. Based in central London adjacent to Regent’s Park, we have been training musicians to the highest professional standards since 1822. We are firmly focused on developing tomorrow’s musical leaders in disciplines including classical, jazz, composition and musical theatre.

Artist Development is a core element for all students and is part of assessed degree programmes at the Academy. It is a flexible and responsive element of Academy study, which varies from term to term in both scope and intensity.

Starting in September 2022, the Lecturer in Artist Development will work closely with the rest of the Artist Development team, to help deliver all aspects of Artist Development at the Academy. This will involve liaising with Heads of Departments, Heads of Programmes and a wide range of staff and students, in the planning and delivery of Artist Development seminars, workshops and intensive projects. The post holder will help develop and deliver innovative initiatives to prepare Academy students for the challenges of working in a rapidly changing music profession.

A recruitment pack can be downloaded from www.ram.ac.uk/jobs.
