About the position
Scope and subject area of the position

The vacancy is a half time position available for a fixed term of six years from 1 August 2023.

The position's subject area is Orchestral Conducting. Duties and responsibilities comprise teaching and supervision of students, artistic research and development activities, and related administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be expected to actively collaborate with colleagues and to contribute to the Academy’s academic environment.

Teaching and supervision

Duties include teaching and supervision in orchestral conducting in line with current study plans. Tuition will be given both as individual guidance and in groups. The appointee may also be assigned teaching duties involving younger students and supervision duties at PhD level.

We welcome applicants who show initiative and wish to plan and lead seminars and courses within their discipline, in collaboration with colleagues. The successful candidate will also participate in the preparation and execution of entrance auditions and examinations at the Academy.
