Opal Music Studio in Alexandria, VA, seeks a Piano Instructor to join its accomplished faculty
Interested candidates will have:
• a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance or Education
• at least 2 years’ experience with private teaching
• broad knowledge of pedagogical repertoire and methods
• performing experience as both soloist and chamber musician
• a dynamic personality and a creative approach to teaching
• a great professional attitude and interpersonal skills
An Opal Piano Instructor will:
• teach private lessons to students of all ages and abilities
• teach in a beautiful studio space in the heart of Old Town Alexandria
• choose their own teaching days, but must be available to teach on-site in Alexandria from 3:00-8:00pm
• provide individualized instruction and personalized curriculum to each student
• have access to numerous Opal events and opportunities
ABOUT OPAL MUSIC STUDIO: Opal Music Studio is an established community music program in Old Town Alexandria. Our philosophy is to provide the highest quality music instruction in an environment that is nurturing, creative, and supportive. We provide numerous opportunities for students in addition to private lessons, including things like game nights and collaborative studio craft-based projects, with the hopes of fostering a community of music lovers.
At Opal, the teachers are highly accomplished professional musicians as well as stellar educators. They are creative, resourceful, patient, and open to teaching all levels and ages of students.
