Challenging works for orchestra are the main focus for this summer course in the middle of Germany. Course members will benefit from the fantastic facilities at the music academy in Schlitz. The English-German team of conductors will make shure you'll have much fun with Berlioz "Symph fantastique", Rachmaninov 2nd Symph, Copland's "Billy the Kid" and other works for chamber and string orchestras. The Modern Academy is an in-depth short course tailored to advanced students and young professionals, through an intensive study and collaboration with faculty and peers, to enhance their skills of performance and composition in modern music. The largest brass quintet gathering in the world. A two-week intensive and immersive brass chamber music experience. The faculty includes the Atlantic Brass Quintet, Triton Brass, and special guest Sam Pilafian. Open to brass players ranging from professionals to post-grads, college students, and talented high school students. Both individual players and pre-formed groups are encouraged to apply. Ticino Musica is an international meeting of young musicians coming from all around the world.
