Contrapuncta composition contest - 2026 Edition
In order to promote the musical creation of today, the association Contrapuncta launches a call for compositions for solo piano.
The contest is open to all persons, without restriction of nationality or age.
The musical scores are anonymous so that only the music is judged. It is possible to present several works.
The proposed work must be original, written for solo piano (2 hands), with a duration between 6 minutes and 12 minutes and not have been commercially exploited.
The rewards are :
- The Jury prize: 1000€
- The Public prize: 500€
They will be awarded after a concert during which 6 works selected by the jury will be performed by a professional pianist. The audience present at the recital will have the opportunity to vote for the piece of their choice.
The deadline for sending applications is set for June 30, 2026 at midnight and the registration fee is €35.
