Manchester Midday Music Chamber Ensemble Prize

Manchester Midday Music, established in 1915, is one of most successful lunchtime concert series in the UK.

Our Chamber Ensemble Prize is for emerging ensembles from across the UK, ranging from trios to sextets, including string ensembles and vocal groups. The prize is free to enter and the live final will take place at the RNCM in Manchester on 4 January 2027.

First Prize winners will be awarded a recital in our 2027-28 season at The Bridgewater Hall, a cash prize of £2000, and support securing further recitals in the UK. They will have a new work commissioned for them through our Composition Prize, which they will premiere in their series recital.

Second Prize winners will be awarded a recital in our 2027-28 season.
