This summer AOD returns to Chetham’s School of Music, Manchester for an intensive 9-day course offering immersive and practical training on all the aspects of education work that you will encounter as an assistant and associate conductor.
You will take preparatory and sectional rehearsals with three different orchestras, you will assist on concerts at Bridgewater Hall and Stoller Hall, you will receive detailed training in programming, writing, presenting and conducting family and education concerts and you will create your own show which will be performed in schools with a professional chamber ensemble. There will be seminars and working sessions with senior management from the LSO, BBC Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata and as with all
and as with all And Other Duties courses, there will be networking events with representatives from other leading arts organisations.
The course is open to a maximum of eight active participants with four places currently remaining.
