Sinfonia Smith Square’s orchestral Fellowship enables musicians to take their careers to new heights. Each year, we welcome 34 of the world’s most promising musicians to form an orchestra.

Founded in 2002 as Southbank Sinfonia, our annual programme runs from October to August and offers vital performance and orchestral experience. You will rehearse and perform weekly, explore a wide range of repertoire, collaborate with leading guest artists, and gain first-hand insight into professional orchestral life. The Fellowship helps you build the versatility and skills needed to thrive as an employable, adaptable musician across concert, education, and community settings.

Our musicians go on to become leaders in the classical music world. With over 700 alumni, many occupy Principal positions in world-renowned orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
