Fossati Pro A oboe in violetwood for sale. Dual system, semi-automatic. This means that English thumb plate and conservatoire fingerings both work. Also has low C-B link.
Bought in May 2019. One very small crack between trill keys on the upper joint. Fixed by fossati Nov 2019.
Larger crack in the back of the upper joint Nov 2022. Fixed by Howarths of London beginning of 2023. I have personally taken it back to the the Fossati factory near Paris and have had the oboe re-adjusted, cleaned, and completely checked over. The upper joint is now stable and you can't even see where the repair was (see photos). It plays beautifully again. It has a lovely tone and great, even scale. Easy to play the low and high notes.
The keywork looks amazing with the brass fixtures. The keys are in near pristine condition with no wear. Really beautiful wood and not an easy oboe to find. Comes with a fossati professional case and cover and unus
