Beautiful instrument for a very reasonable price. Body imported "in the white" and then finished to a very high standard by Malcolm Healey; a renowned maker, repairer and setter-up of basses, based in Surrey.
This bass has a lovely "Tiger Stripe" flare on the back with a fine, straight grain on the belly; all accentuated by a rich mid-brown oil varnish. Fittings are all in ebony with top quality strings.
This instrument has been owned, played and loved by several pupils to a high standard. It is a small 3/4-size instrument which would suit a younger person or one with smaller hands.
