The Junior RNCM (JRNCM) is a vibrant community of gifted young musicians aged 8 to 18 who come together to develop their talent in the Royal Northern College of Music. It is a government designated Centre for Advanced Training renowned for the high quality of education provision and musical excellence and is seeking to appoint an exceptional arts administrator to ensure an outstanding JRNCM student experience.

The successful candidate will be pivotal in the management and co-ordination of JRNCM events and activities such as concerts, rehearsals, themed days such as New Music Day and Chamber Music Showcases, open days, ABRSM examinations, preparation sessions and external concerts.

A clear communicator with meticulous organisational skills, the successful applicant will show both sensitivity and confidence in dealing with young people, parents, tutors, internal teams such as Stage Management, Front of House, Sound and Vision, Porters, Security, and colleagues within RNCM such as Heads of Schools. As JRNCM is a busy working environment, it is essential that the successful applicant is flexible, adaptable, collaborative and understands teamwork within a high-pressured environment.

This role provides an opportunity to develop operational and logistical processes, finding new and creative ways to make scheduling and planning more efficient, and through line management of the JRNCM Administrator, to develop working processes that support the Head of Junior Programmes’ strategic vision. A passion for providing the highest quality music education for all, regardless of background, is therefore essential.

This role will require in person working at RNCM on a Saturday, across 33 weeks of the year based on local term times.
