Ensemble Leadership – Contemporary Music
We are looking for an inspiring and visionary Artistic and Managing Director to guide Collegium Novum Zürich into its next artistic chapter. In this pivotal role, you will design innovative programmes, formats, and co-productions in close collaboration with the ensemble, shaping a distinctive artistic profile that resonates both nationally and internationally.
Your responsibilities include planning and executing all ensemble events, developing new performance opportunities at home and abroad, and overseeing office operations, including budgeting, financing, and administrative management. You will also represent the ensemble publicly and to key stakeholders, including government funding bodies, private donors, and the media. Working closely with the team, you will develop and implement marketing strategies that enhance visibility and engagement. The office includes a production manager (70%) and a financial manager (60–80%), supporting your leadership.
Your Profile:
Deep expertise in contemporary music across multiple disciplines
Proven leadership experience in cultural institutions with strong organizational skills
Track record in developing and implementing ambitious artistic concepts
Experience in fundraising, sponsorship, and financial management
Well-established international network and entrepreneurial mindset
Excellent social and communication skills; collaborative and open
Fluency in German and English; French is an advantage
