Concorso Fondazione Monini - nuove composizioni vocali da camera

Teatro Lirico Sperimentale and Fondazione Monini announce the "Concorso Fondazione Monini" – Dedicated to the memory of maestro Gian Carlo Menotti – for new vocal chamber compositions, 2026 edition.
The competition is open to composers under 35 of any nationality, who may submit compositions for voice (register of their choice) and piano, unpublished and never performed, with a maximum duration of ten minutes. The works must use a freely chosen poetic text and may be presented as a single piece or as a cycle of several pieces, provided they are within the time limit.
The winner will receive a prize of €4,000 and the composition will be premiered in Spoleto, at the Sala Pegasus, during the 80th Experimental Opera Season, during a Liederabend dedicated to vocal chamber music.
Scores must be submitted by 23:59 on 20 April 2026, in accordance with the instructions provided in the announcement on the Institution's website.
