Orchestra's Conductor Masterclass - 2nd edition (September 2025)

We are pleased to announce the second edition of the 2025 Conducting Masterclass, featuring Maestros Cristian Orosanu (conducting technique) and Leonard Boga (score analysis). The course is open to conductors of all ages and nationalities, with 12 participants selected by the two maestros.
Two key works: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite No. 3. The goal is not to expand repertoire, but to deepen participants’ ability to study a score thoroughly and express music through clear physical gesture. The conducting technique follows the principles of Sergiu Celibidache, and the course includes Barform analysis—an approach based on the work of Alfred Lorenz and further developed by Romanian conductor Constantin Bugeanu.
The structure progresses from baton technique to conducting with piano, and finally with a string quintet. Each participant will have individual podium time of 30 minutes with piano and 45 minutes with quintet.
