OCA Conducting Academy

The OCA Conducting Academy is a season-based training programme for conductors. Led by maestro Luis Miguel Clemente, it offers extended podium time (~100 min) plus 1-1 coaching (~90 min) and small groups (max. 6 conductors/masterclass), enabling close guidance, repetition and artistic development.
The 2026 season is organised as a coherent sequence of thematic masterclasses, combining online preparation with in-person practical work with the Orquestra da Costa Atlântica. Masterclasses may be attended individually or combined as part of a continuous training path.

1. Thinking Before Conducting (MARCH) Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven
2. The Language of Conducting (APRIL) Mozart, Schubert
3. Sound Without Weight (MAY) Debussy, Ravel, Fauré
4. Inside the Musical Line (JULY) Wagner, Mahler
5. Time as Architecture (SEPTEMBER) Schubert, Brahms
6. Gesture Under Pressure (OCTOBER) Weber, Tchaikovsky
