JAM's Composer Residency 2026 — Into the Bellows — is a fully-funded residential programme for three UK composers writing for solo accordion.
Composers will develop a new 15-minute work in close collaboration with internationally acclaimed accordionist Ryan Corbett during an immersive week on the Kent coast (18–24 May 2026). The Residency is led by Paul Mealor LVO as lead tutor and John Frederick Hudson PhD as course director.
The programme includes a development day in London (April), a residential week in Littlestone, Kent, a world premiere at the JAM on the Marsh Festival (11 July 2026) and a London performance in November 2026. All works are professionally recorded and filmed.
Open to UK-based composers aged 18+, at any career stage. All styles welcome.
