Esker Festival Orchestra 2024 | Rehearsal & Performance Tour

Following on from our 10th Anniversary performances of Mahler's 2nd Symphony we are delighted to announce an equally ambitious and challenging programme centred around Gustav Holst's legendary suite The Planets. The programme will also feature the Elgar Cello Concerto with rising star Zoë Nagle as Soloist and other works to be confirmed. The orchestra will be conducted by founder and director Peter Joyce.
The 2024 edition of the Esker Festival Orchestra will take place between August 12th and 18th and include performances in Galway Cathedral and the National Concert Hall Dublin. Once again the orchestra will be resident in the beautiful surrounds of the University of Galway.
This year we are accepting new applications for all positions in the orchestra. If you are interested in becoming a member of the orchestra you can apply by filling out an online form. For more information visit our website.
