State Opera – Plovdiv is announcing an audition for a full-time orchestral position: viola (tutti).

1. Completed higher or secondary music education
2. Experience in ensemble performance

Chamber Hall at the Boris Hristov House of Culture, Plovdiv.

Audition Repertoire:
1. Solo Program:
o Concerto of your choice:
o either the first movement (with cadenza) or the second and third movements from a concerto by Stamitz or Hoffmeister.
• One piece of your choice with piano accompaniment
2. Orchestral Excerpts:
• Verdi – Don Carlo, from No. 9
• Verdi – Aida, Act III
• Verdi – Aida, Act IV
• Brahms – Symphony No. 4 in E minor
• Beethoven – Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67 (Andante con moto)
All pieces must be performed with piano accompaniment.
Orchestral excerpts will be provided upon request.
