• C. Ditters von Dittersdorf - Concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra Kr. 172 in D: mov. 2 – Adagio
• Orchestral excerpts: repertoire will be provided with the invitation.
2e Round
• S. Koussevitsky - Concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra op. 3: mov. 1 Allegro

• G. Bottesini - Concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra no. 2 in b minor: mov. 1 Allegro
• Orchestral excerpts: repertoire will be provided with the invitation.
Terms of Employment
• A fixed-term contract with the intention to convert to a permanent contract upon mutual satisfaction.
• Contract size: 70% (0.70 FTE).
• Gross salary: according to scale 2 – 110% of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Orchestras (CAO Nederlandse Orkesten).
• Participation in the ABP pension fund.
Selection Procedure
• The audition committee reserves the right to make a preselection based on the applications received. The committee also reserves the right to request a video recording from candidates.
• The orchestra reserves the right to invite multiple candidates for a trial period.
• In accordance with EU legislation, only musicians who are citizens of an EU or EEA country, or who hold a permanent Dutch residence and work permit, can be invited to participate in this audition.
• The audition consists of two rounds. In the first round, candidates will perform the first listed solo work and a number of orchestral excerpts to be determined. In the second round, candidates will perform the other solo work and a number of orchestral excerpts to be determined. The audition committee decides which candidates advance to the next round.
• An interview forms part of the selection procedure for candidates who win the audition.
• Applications must be submitted no later than 1 February 2026, exclusively via Muvac application. see link below
