Opera North Principal Second Bassoon

The Orchestra of Opera North is hosting an additional day of auditions for the position of Principal Second Bassoon as an opportunity for applicants who may not a have applied due to barriers of travelling with two instruments. A contrabassoon will be available to those who require the use of one and who are successful in gaining a second round audition.

Application (Online Portfolio) to be submitted via musicalchairs by 10.59pm Friday 13 February.
Auditions
Selected candidates will be invited to audition at the Howard Opera Centre in Leeds on Tuesday 3 March 2026. The panel cannot offer dates after this.
