German flat back c1880.
Recently received full restoration (2020) including new finger board, neck, top and bottom blocks, bass bar, bridge with quality adjusters, brass and ebony endpin, baker style tuners. All cracks professionally repaired, in excellent health. Currently strung with Pirastro Evah pirazzi.
This is a big bass with a powerful sound to match, it really sings played arco, no wolf notes and a big bottom end too. A real pleasure to play.
