German 1880

German and most probably from circa 1880. The back wood is curved, nicely flamed and the instrument features outside linings and individual brass cogs and worms. Set up for jazz playing my Lawrence Dixon but can easily be adjusted to the liking of the buyer Martin Jones in Caerphilly has given a full appraisal in his workshop and given a rough figure of £200 for a personalised set up. Need to sell ASAP as I don’t have space to keep it and I’m now focussing on classical guitar. Amazing opportunity to get a lovely “honest” bass overall in very good shape!
