Justin Derazey of Mirecourt, 1860

Beautiful double bass with exceptional sound and an interesting history having previously belonged to the late Jack McCormack, Principal Double Bass of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The instrument is in excellent condition and was regularly played in a wide variety of professional ensembles. It works well in chamber music while still retaining sufficient power for large orchestral work.

C extension fitted by Martyn Bailey in 2017 with clips for each semitone. More photos available on enquiry. The bass is currently in West Yorkshire.
