Restored pair of copper Slingerland 'Universal' type timpani. 25" and 28" with Premier style pedal. Formerly belonging to the late Michael Skinner, (Royal Opera House) these are now looking for a new home, with all proceeds going to his family.
From the 1960s (I believe) these drums are similar to Ludwig Universals and probably a forerunner of today's Adams Revolutions, in as much the bowl is detachable from the base. Each has a tuning gauge (looks identical to Premiers) and a fold- down tap to ease quick changes from drum to drum.
Supplied with head protectors (not shown as still in production) but no covers. These can be ordered separately. (info@tlperc.com) Evans Strata heads are fitted but I'm sure they can be changed by buyer with calf if preferred.
