Double Bass:
German Double Bass (ca. 1900) for solo & auditions
Precio: 13750€
I am offering for sale my German 4-Strings double bass in the Viola da Gamba style, built around 1900. The instrument has accompanied me in auditions, chamber music performances, and solo appearances.
It has been professionally restored and received a new neck and a solo setup by luthier Danniel Mannel (Hamburg). The bass is fitted with an adjustable bridge, a stable and easily adjustable endpin, and is currently strung with Belcanto Solo strings.
The instrument offers a broad, dense and projecting sound with natural brilliance, making it particularly well suited for solo repertoire, chamber music and orchestral playing.
The instrument is in excellent condition, as shown in the photographs.
Available for trial in Trier. Other locations can be arranged if necessary.
I am happy to provide further information and answer any questions.
€13,750 negotiable
The sale is due to an upgrade to a higher-level solo instrument.
