2nd International Young Artists Competition

The International Kalamata Music Days are announcing their 2nd INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ARTISTS COMPETITION, which will be held during the festival’s 10th edition. The goal of this competition is to give the opportunity to a young musician or a chamber ensemble to be invited for a concert during the 11th edition of the International Kalamata Music Days. The competition winner will also be granted a financial reward of 1.000 € plus the possibility of reimbursement of their travel and accommodation expenses resulting from their performance in August/September 2027 in Kalamata (Greece). The competition is open to violin, viola, cello and chamber music entries and will consist of two rounds. The preliminary round will be carried out through the submission of videos (deadline June 15, 2026). After evaluating this material, five candidates will be chosen and invited to perform in front of a jury in the final round, which will be held live in Kalamata on September 3, 2026.
