On behalf of the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York City, we are delighted to introduce the 2026 Edition of the NYC Wieniawski Competition (https://www.KFWieniawski.org).
This year’s event stands out as one of the most exciting and meaningful opportunities for young
violinists, bringing together exceptional talent, fresh artistic energy, and a deep appreciation for musical heritage. It promises to be a vibrant celebration of artistry and a memorable showcase of the next generation of outstanding performers.
$20,000 in monetary prizes is offered, along with the performance awards.
The Kosciuszko Foundation’s Wieniawski Violin Competition began in 1969, created to support gifted young violinists and to promote the music of Henryk Wieniawski, the celebrated 19th‑century violin virtuoso. From the start, the competition reflected the Foundation’s
broader mission of strengthening Polish‑American cultural ties and encouraging deeper engagement with our musical heritage. It offered
