Lewis Memorial Prize competition 2027

The Anthony Lewis Memorial Prize competition was established by the Musica Britannica Trust in 1986 in memory of the first General Editor and Chairman of Musica Britannica, Sir Anthony Lewis. Today, the renamed Lewis Memorial Prize competition commemorates the lives of both Sir Anthony and his wife Lesley, Lady Lewis, who supported it for many years.

The 2027 competition is for singers. The final will be held in London at the Royal Academy of Music on 31 March 2027.

For the first round, candidates supply audition recordings as well as letters of recommendation and an application form. The deadline for applications is Friday 4th December.

Repertoire for the final round must be taken from the Musica Britannica editions. Further details are on the Musica Britannica website.
