Principal Second Violin (50%)
The LSO are seeking a Principal Second Violin (50%). To apply, please submit an application and pre-recorded first round audition on Musicalchairs by Sun 1 Mar 2026.
The audition requirements and excerpt booklet are below. Please record:
- Exposition of the first movement of a Mozart concerto
- Opening 2mins (approx.) of a contrasting concerto
- Excerpts
Second round auditions will be a live, screened audition in London in mid Apr 2026. Video second round requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Regretfully we are unable to accept applications from candidates from Visa National countries due to recent changes to visitor visa restrictions at this time (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-visitor-visa-national-list).
