Concertmaster (2 positions)

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) is seeking to appoint two Concertmasters. Applications for both positions are now open.

Both roles carry the title of Concertmaster of the HK Phil, are contracted for a minimum of 17 weeks per season and equally share concert leadership duties. Depending on the programme, the two Concertmasters may occasionally perform together.

Successful candidates must possess exceptional artistry and musical ability, demonstrate exemplary ensemble skills, exhibit strong leadership, and represent the HK Phil professionally both on and off stage

Auditions are scheduled to take place in Vienna on 7 December 2026 and in Hong Kong on 11 January 2027.

Resume: Applicants must submit a one-page resume outlining professional orchestral experience and training. Applicants should indicate their preferred audition city.

The application deadline is 31 October 2026. Shortlisted applicants will be notified of their audition status no later than 14 November 2026.
