International Composition Competition “Biennale Manuel de Falla”

The “Biennale Manuel de Falla” Composition Competition is conceived as a permanent tribute to the Spanish composer Manuel de Falla and will be held biennially. Its aim is to promote and reward contemporary musical creation, with a special focus on works for chamber orchestra. It is open for all composers without restrictions.

The instrumentation for this first Call must be for solo piano and chamber orchestra.

Prize:

-"Yamaha Prize”: a single prize of €2,000.

- World premiere of the winning piece: Chamber Hall of the National Auditorium of Music in Madrid. Performed by the Atlántida Chamber Orchestra, on April 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

- Second performance at a prestigious Spanish institution, with the date and venue to be announced during the 2026–27 season.

- Professional recording, editing, mastering, and international digital distribution on 150 platforms.

E. Publication of the score by “Ibemusik Editions”.
