S O N O R A 2026 - Conducting Beethoven with Orchestra Olimpia

SONORA 2026 – Conduct Beethoven with Orchestra Olimpia is an international selection for orchestra conductors taking place in Pesaro, Italy, on 9–11 December 2026.

Following a preliminary selection based on CV and video, 12 conductors will be invited to the live round in Pesaro. Each selected candidate will receive 25 minutes of podium time with Orchestra Olimpia, working on one Beethoven overture chosen from:

– Coriolan Overture, Op. 62
– The Creatures of Prometheus, Op. 43 – Overture
– The Ruins of Athens, Op. 113 – Overture

The winner will conduct Orchestra Olimpia at the Teatro Rossini in Pesaro on 11 December 2026, opening the final concert of the SONORA 2026 Artistic Residency.
