This very well-preserved violin is in all parts original and belong together.
The original label is present and reads as follows:
C, de Pirot fecit Parisüse 1806.
The violin will be sold with a certificate from Hieronymus Köstler Stuttgard.
For comparison, there is an almost identical violin in the specialist literature with an illustration in LES LUTHIERS FRANCAISE; LECANU; page 54.
Description: Very clean handwork, two-piece maple back with weak flames and strong wood rays. The sides are more flamed. 2-part spruce top with alternating fine to wide annual rings.This violin has a sound of the highest quality. Balanced in all areas with a strong sustaining tone. Remarkably easy response. Very suitable for the professional soloist. A demonstration in the north of Germany is possible at any time by appointment.
