We are seeking talented and motivated MM and DMA candidates for our open Graduate Teaching Assistant position in Conducting. Free tuition and a generous stipend are offered, along with an unprecedented benefit: the successful candidate will become the sole conductor of their own orchestra! Additionally, they will become the associate conductor of the Huxford Symphony, with very frequent opportunities to conduct in rehearsal and performance in our beautiful Moody Concert Hall. P

The Camilla Huxford Endowed Chair of Orchestral Studies and Professor of Conducting is celebrated conductor and pedagogue Ransom Wilson. Professor Wilson will act as your teacher and mentor as you polish your craft, deepen your musicians, and acquire your degree. The School of Music is a remarkably friendly and welcoming environment in which to do serious study. The University at large has over 40,000 students, and wonderful facilities all over campus.
