National Strings

National Strings Easter Course 2026 will be held at Oakham School. The course will combine solo performance opportunities, daily individual lessons, masterclasses with leading teachers and playing chamber music with other students.
PROFESSORS:
Violin - Vanessa David, Clare Thompson and David Adam’s
Viola - Alex Thorndike and Errika Collins
Cello - Ben Davies, William Bruce and Jo Cole
Piano - Rebecca Selley and Louisa Lam
Senior Course - for Conservatoire students/Recent graduates or younger students of an advanced standard. Auditions requirements on leaflet
Intermediate Course - for string players grade 8+. Students age 12+ are welcome to stay residential. See or website for info about our Junior Course 3-4 April for grade 6+
