Associate Professor of oboe and chamber music - 50 percent

Scope and Subject Area of the Position
This is a 50 percent permanent position, available from August 1, 2026.
The academic field of the position is oboe and chamber music. An important part of the role involves talent development, recruitment, and the advancement of the field on a national level. The responsibilities include teaching and mentoring students, research and development (R&D) activities, and administrative tasks related to the academic operations within the section. NMH expects the successful candidate to actively contribute to strengthening artistic and academic collaboration among colleagues.
The responsibilities include teaching and mentoring in oboe and chamber music for both larger and smaller groups, within bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in accordance with the current curriculum, as well as teaching at lower age levels. Instruction will be provided both as individual mentoring and in group settings. Systematic planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching are expected.
