The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) is seeking talented musicians for the following positions:
Viola (Rank & File)
Violin (Rank & File)
Horn – High Horn (Sub-Principal)
Trumpet (Sub-Principal)
Double Bass (Principal)
Viola (Principal)
If you’re passionate about classical music and have the required qualifications, we invite you to apply!
Application Process
Interested candidates in possession of a university degree in music performance, or a conservatory diploma, or an equivalent qualification at MQF Level 5 or higher, or any other qualification deemed comparable by the Board.

Required Documents:
Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English
Copy of Identity Card or Passport
Copies of Relevant Qualifications (certified English translations required if not in English)
Video Footage – Submit a recent video (max 5 minutes) performing classical repertoire. Upload the video to YouTube and include the composer and title in the description.
All applications must be submitted by 12:00 PM (CET), Tuesday 31st March 2026 to vacancies@maltaorchestra.com.
