About the Position
The Omaha Symphony is seeking a Violin player for the position of Core Violin. This is a full time, tenure-track position. The
Omaha Symphony’s 38-week season with optional 39th week is stylistically diverse, and equal emphasis is placed on public performances and education/community engagement programs. Some travel will be required within the Omaha Metro area.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position in the 2026/2027 season is $46,928.99. Additional compensation includes an annual $1,000
electronic media guarantee and an optional nonconsecutive 39th week of work ($1,234.97), for a total annual salary of $48,163.96
Benefits include: paid personal, sick, & audition leave, a two-week paid holiday break in December, partially subsidized health, dental, and instrument insurance, and a 4% match on an employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement fund.
Audition Process
This will be a multi-round audition. Live Preliminary Rounds will be held on Monday August 24th 2026 – Tuesday August 25th 2026 , Semi- Final Rounds will be held on Tuesday August 25th 2026, and the Final Rounds on Wednesday August 26th, 2026, in Omaha at the Holland Performing Arts Center.
