Östgötamusiken is looking to recruit a principal Double Bass

Östgötamusiken is now seeking a double bass player who wants to contribute to the development of both the music and the audience experience in the region. The position is a full-time permanent employment, which includes rehearsals, preparations and performances with Östgötabandet and Östgöta Blåsarsymfoniker – Nordic Wind Ensemble. Östgötabandet is Östgötamusiken’s jazz ensemble, consisting of four wind players, piano, bass, and drums. The position also includes playing electric bass.

A significant part of the work involves performing for children, young people and older audiences. This places high demands on your ability to communicate confidently and engagingly with different target groups. Therefore, basic to intermediate proficiency in Swedish is required at the time of employment.

Audition will take place by invitation on 2026-09-16 in Östgötamusiken’s facilities.
