Fine English Violin by David Lindsey Circa 1890

Fine English violin made by David Lindsey circa 1890 labelled,David Lindsey violin and violin bow maker Gateshead. This violin is in excellent playing condition having no cracks no peg box cracks no woodworm.It has a beautifully flamed two piece back ribs neck and scroll. The varnish is Amber in colour and completely original. The violin is fully blocked lined, the purfling is neatly inlaid the instrument having good edge work.
A fine sounding instrument which produces a deep mellow tone with good volume which is even on all the strings. The back length is 35.6 cms
