English violin Ysaye-Guarneri di Victor Unsworth made in Morecambe in 1996 con certificato

The violin is authentic and original in every part, and is in perfect condition, with no cracks, defects or repairs, and is ready to play. It comes with a certificate of authenticity, and on the inside of the back it is authenticated by the maker himself with the handwritten inscription ‘Victor Unsworth Morecambe 1996’; furthermore, it bears the maker’s original label. Its sound is purely soloistic, with extreme power across all registers and a very mature tone, rich in nuances, boasting remarkable projection in any theatre or concert hall. The high quality of the spruce and the two-piece maple back blend perfectly with the oil varnish in a reddish-brown hue against a gold-orange background. At the time of purchase (2018), the violin was valued at €8,500 on the certificate, but Unsworth died in 2023, so the instrument is now worth more.
