Director of the Gewandhaus

The Gewandhaus Orchestra – the oldest civic orchestra in the world – and the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig are among Europe’s most significant cultural brands. For the 2028/29 season, the City of Leipzig is seeking an experienced leader to further the artistic, organisational, and commercial development of the Gewandhaus, working closely with the Gewandhauskapellmeister and assuming overall responsibility for 185 musicians and around 90 staff across the other departments.
