„Avantgarde - present and past“

The main goal of this course is to offer students interested in the harpsichord repertoire of the 20th and 21st century the possibility of intensive study and obtaining information about all aspects of contemporary performance practice, including extended techniques, use of fixed media etc.
It also addresses students who do not have any or much experience with this repertoire yet and are intrigued to make their first steps or delve more into it.
It is not mandatory, though, to prepare contemporary music. However, in order to enhance the course’s scope, please choose works from the 17th and/or 18th century as suggested in the detailed course description on the website.
Passive participation is possible and welcome.
