1st Edition of RIA International Conducting Masterclass

The Orquestra das Beiras will organise, under the guidance of conductor Mark Heron and in partnership with the University of Aveiro, the 1st Edition of RIA INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING MASTERCLASS. It will take place between June 24 to 28 2025, concluding with a public performance in Casa de Música, Quarteirão de Artes e Cultura de Aveiro, Aradas. RIA is meant to continue the excellent work developed by Maestro Ernst Schelle during the various editions of CIAO International Course for Orchestral Art.
The main goal of this International Course is to contribute to the technical and artistic growth of all who seek to deepen their knowledge and skills in the art of orchestral conducting, be they young conductors, students or teachers.
The course will accept a maximum of 8 active candidates, who will be entitled to 100 - 120 minutes of work with the Orchestra, as well as daily sessions of video analysis with the course professor. It will also be possible to participate in listener mode.
