The J.M. Vogl-stichting invites young Lied duos (singer & pianist) to apply for The Art of Song Maastricht – an intensive masterclass on the interpretation of art song from various eras. This program offers a unique opportunity to work with internationally renowned Lied specialists in a historic setting, with a grand closing concert! Best duo can win a prize of €2500 + concert in 2027!
World-Class Mentorship by: Ulf Bästlein – baritone & Charles Spencer – piano.
Lessons take place in the inspiring atmosphere of the Palace of the Grand Provost of the Chapter of Saint Servatius (Henric van Veldekeplein 29) and the historic Sint Janskerk, Maastricht.
Who Can Apply? LiedDuos (singer & pianist) studying at a conservatory or graduates (max. 5 years post-study); Repertoire: min. 10 songs, primarily German Lied; Languages: Lessons in English & German; Limited spots: max. 8 duos – audition required
€350 Participation fee includes accommodation at the palace.
