Orchestra’s Conductor Masterclass with Cristian Orosanu

Created in response to the growing interest expressed by many conductors who participated in the Orchestra’s Conductor Competition during the last years, this masterclass expands the original concept into a pedagogical environment focused on artistic development and communication, under the guidance of maestro Cristian Orosanu and with the orchestra Kamerata Kronstadt. Just as in the competition, the musicians are encouraged to observe, respond, and ultimately vote for the conductors with whom they establish the strongest artistic and human connection, selecting their four preferred participants, who will conduct the final concert.

The masterclass focuses on works by Mozart, Respighi and Tchaikovsky. The conducting technique follows the principles of Sergiu Celibidache, and the course includes Barform analysis—an approach based on the work of Alfred Lorenz and further developed by Romanian conductor Constantin Bugeanu.
