Chianti in Musica has taken place every summer since 2006 in San Donato in Poggio, a medieval village halfway between Florence and Siena, in the suggestive countryside of Tuscany, and has offered instrument and ensemble music courses and concerts. Since last year, San Donato has joined the list of Italy's Most Beautiful Villages and offers everyone the chance to experience life in a picturesque Italian village.
Chianti in Musica 2024 will propose flute, oboe, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, guitar, and piano courses from 28 July to 2 August.
The courses consist of one individual lesson per day and promote the formation of chamber groups. All teachers are internationally renowned and teach at Italian conservatories and international academies. A piano accompanist is also present.
Student concerts are held in the gothic church of Santa Maria della Neve every day in the late afternoon.
The canteen organized by Chianti in Musica is available to students and teachers at lunchtime.
